Сумма, первоначально оплаченная за актив, не корректируемая последующими изменениями стоимости. Называется также Стоимостью приобретения (Acquisition Cost) или Первоначальной стоимостью (Original Cost). В российской практике под исторической понимается первоначальная стоимость приобретения без учета переоценок.

учет по ценам приобретения
Традиционный метод ведения счетов, когда активы отражаются в балансах по той цене, по которой они обошлись организации (цены приобретения), за вычетом любой соответствующей амортизации. Такой метод в условиях высокой инфляции ведет к завышению прибылей, в результате чего стали применяться другие методы учета (см.: current-cost accounting (учет по текущим ценам), current purchasing power accounting (учет по текущей покупательной способности)). Сейчас большая часть организаций вернулась к бухгалтерскому учету по ценам приобретения.

Затраты приобретения или создания актива в отличие от его текущей стоимости. Необязательно совпадают с первоначальными затратами (см.), так как после приобретения актива с ним могут быть связаны некоторые дополнительные затраты, например, на его совершенствование, которые уже нельзя отнести к первоначальным.

Учет, основанный на оценке по исторической стоимости в валюте, имеющей равную покупательную способность. Немонетарные статьи переоцениваются для отражения изменений в общей покупательной способности валюты с момента приобретения отдельного актива или возникновения обязательства. По монетарным статьям возникает прибыль или убыток в результате владения ими в течение периода, за который произошло изменение общей покупательной способности.
